A local girl is being honored for her quick actions and bravery.

Last month, 8-year-old Brianna Ley sprang into action, calling 911 when her grandma was having a stroke.

Officials at the Cambria County Department of Emergency Services say her quick action and staying calm during the emergency helped save her grandma’s life.

Brianna recently stopped by the 911 center to meet the dispatcher who helped her, Lucas Campbell.

While she was there, she even tried on a headset to see what it’s like to be a dispatcher.
