On Wednesday the Moshannon Valley YMCA celebrated the official grand opening of a new learning facility.
The CNB Bank was recognized for donating $25,000 to the new building, which is now called the CNB Early Learning Center.
The project totaled about $100,000 for a complete renovation including new classrooms and equipment.
Kayla Bailey, Child Care Director at the Moshannon Valley YMCA, said it’s definitely a positive addition for the community.
“We care so much about these students and their futures and what this means to them. And I want to be able to give these students whatever they need to succeed,” Bailey said. “And at that point in time it meant that we needed a new building and a new facility so that we could better take care of these kids.”
Bailey said soon the facility will also act as a full-time preschool.
