Woman wanted in drug delivery death

Six months ago a Johnstown man died of a heroin overdose. Now police in Somerset County are going after the woman who supplied the drugs.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro joined Somerset County District Attorney Lisa Lazzari-Strasiser to discuss the joint investigation.

Wednesday, an arrest warrant was issued for Kelly Wolf, 35, of Windber.  Investigators say on October 24, 2016 Wolf sold heroin laced with fentanyl to Matthew Truscello at a local bar. Hours later paramedics were called to a home on Railroad Street in Windber and Truscello was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Windber Police, with the help of county and state law enforcement, were able to obtain text messages sent between Wolf and Truscello and learned more about the arranged drug deal.

Wolf remained at large Wednesday. She faces a number of criminal charges including drug delivery resulting in death, which is a felony charge.

Shapiro said since taking office in January his law enforcement team has arrested more than 100 drug dealers in the Altoona, Johnstown, and Somerset area and 300 more statewide.
