An Osterburg woman is facing serious charges after police said she took a child from school without permission.

Natalie Leach is accused of picking up the 17-year-old Hope for Hyndman Charter school student on Friday afternoon, without letting the child’s mother know.

Before the incident, state police said Leach was also involved in a hit-and-run crash.

We’re told after she picked up the student, Leach then took the girl to Bedford where the victim”s mother was waiting.

Leach was later located and arrested.

She’s now charged with luring a child into a motor vehicle and reckless endangerment.

Leach is due in court at the end of the month.
