As the temperatures drop, the Cambria County Humane Society is warning people to be on the lookout for stray pets this winter.

Shelter employees said the frigid temperatures are dangerous for domestic animals who may be lost or stuck outside.

Workers said if it’s cold for humans, it’s cold for indoor pets too.

“These animals should not be out in this cold temperature. It’s detrimental to their health. We need to be able to protect the animals of Cambria County,” said Jessica Vamos, the executive director of the Cambria County Humane Society.

If you see a stray dog or cat, you should contact your local animal control.
