A Windber man is dead after crashing his motorcycle just after midnight on Saturday in Somerset County.

Police said Gregory Sheehan, 45, was driving on Rock Cut Road in Shade Township when he lost control and hit a mailbox and utility pole along the edge of the roadway.

Officers said he was pronounced dead on the scene.

We’re told Sheehan was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
