At least one student at the Clearfield Area Elementary School has been diagnosed with whooping cough or Pertussis.
The school district was notified by the State Department of Health on October 24th.
Parents should receive a letter about what symptoms to look out for. Parents can also check out the school’s website for whooping cough facts and what to do to keep your child healthy.
The classroom of the infected student will undergo additional cleaning.
