A student in Cambria County was arrested after threatening to bring a gun into school.
Upper Yoder Township Police said the Westmont Hilltop High School student was arrested Monday afternoon.
Police said the student was upset about another incident he was charged with involving fire and the school, which is why he made the threat.
“The offender made the statement, ‘I’m going to get a gun and shoot’ quote, that was a direct quote, ‘shoot up the school’,” said Upper Yoder Township Police Chief Donald Hess.
That student is charged with making terroristic threats. He’s currently being held at a Cambria County juvenile detention center.
