An annual walk in Johnstown raised awareness for anyone on the autism spectrum, in honor of National Autism Awareness Month.

About 120 students and teachers from Cambria and Somerset County attended the walk and resource fair at the Hiram G. Andrews Center.

The resource fair let local families know about the center’s education and career training opportunities for anyone living on the autism spectrum.

“People can go to school, they can have careers. They can have individual and independent lives. And it’s really important to celebrate their individuality and their uniqueness,” said Cherylann Falsone, a psychological services associate at the center.
