A vigil will be held on Thursday to honor crime victims.
The Centre County District Attorney’s Office will host the Black Light Vigil. The office helped more than 1,200 individuals who were victims of various crimes including sexual offenses, domestic violence, assault, drug and alcohol related crimes.
The District Attorney says the event is an opportunity to raise awareness about the types of victims her office sees, everyday.
“There are a lot of people who are impacted by crime in any which way. They’re welcome to come. I think it creates a community of support and there are more people affected by crime than people realize,” Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller says.
The vigil and march will begin on the steps of Old Main at 6:00 pm.
