Punxsutawney VFW members unveiled their Wall of Honor– which now stands in the hallway at Post 2076.
It features tiles for 12 servicemen from the Punxsutawney area who were killed in action since Vietnam.
The wall also includes names of current and past service members– with 117 names in total right now.
Before the wall was revealed, a ceremony recognized each of the servicemen and their families.
Those family members say today was a special day to remember their lost loved ones.
“It really does mean a lot to us,“ family member Mona Garzoni said. “We lost our brother in 1968, and it still hurts pretty bad.“
Families can purchase tiles for the wall to honor active or past service members from the Punxsutawney area.
