Representative Matt Gabler is reminding veterans that they should review their benefits in the new year to ensure that they are receiving all they’ve earned for their service.

“Turning the calendar to a new year is a good time for veterans to note any life changes or program notifications that may have taken place and see how they affect the benefits for which they are eligible,” said Gabler.

A representative from the Pennsylvania American Legion holds regular office hours at Gabler’s DuBois office the first Tuesday of every month. In January, because of the New Year’s Day holiday, this month’s office hours will be held on January 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“You do not need to be an American Legion member to take advantage of this service,” said Gabler. “We partner with the American Legion to offer this ‘check-up’ as a way to say thank you for all our veterans have done for our country.”

The DuBois office is located in Suite 10 of the DuBois Area Plaza at 1221 East DuBois Avenue.

Veterans can also reach out to the Clearfield County Veteran’s Affairs Office at 814-765-2642 or the Elk County Veteran’s Affairs Office at 814-776-5370.
