ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Blair County veteran is celebrating a major milestone!

Delbert Steven is turning 100 years old on May 26.

To celebrate, his family threw him a birthday party on Wednesday, May 15.

He served in the Marines for three years when World War II broke out.

He says the reason for his old age comes down to believing in God, eating healthy, staying busy, and just enjoying life.

“Get plenty of exercise, stay away from drugs, and have some kind of activity during your life to keep yourself physically fit.” Says Steven, “I was always did a lot of hard work.”

Steven says he has two sons and two daughters.

Both sons were also in the Marines.

He says he is grateful to celebrate 100 years of life.
