There may be a little rain this weekend, but here’s a way of giving back without even having to leave your home.
The United States Post Office, along with the National Association of Letter Carriers are holding their 25th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive in Altoona on Saturday, May 13th, 2017.
To participate – it’s easy!
“You can certainly put the food out on the door step and we will gather it, or if you want to make a cash donation, put it in an envelope and we will do that as well,” said Robert Kutz, with the Blair-Bedford Labor Council.
The food drive is looking for non-perishable food items. It’s helpful if you leave them in a bag on your porch or by the mail box.
Food collected will be donated to the St. Vincent DePaul food bank.
