Construction work continues on Atherton Street in State College through 2019.
The work zone speed limit will stay reduced to 25 MPH from Aaron Drive to the State College Borough line near Mitchell Avenue and will be in place until the project is complete.
Pedestrian’s safety is important while construction continues. People can cross Atherton Street using the intersections at Aaron Drive, Hillcrest Avenue, and Park Avenue.
No work is anticipated from West Aaron Drive to Blue Course Drive from December 8 through December 14.
Through December 20, the far right lane will remain closed heading towards the University while the contractor is working.
The contractor will continue installing new water lines from Woodland Drive to Park Avenue, and traffic will be down to one lane while they’re working.
