The Penn State Homecoming Parade will be held October 12 at 6 p.m.

The parade will form in the parking lots on Porter Road and Curtin Road. and the route will be closed to vehicle traffic from approximately 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The parade will travel the following route:
-South on Bigler Road to Pollock Road
-West on Pollock Road to Shortlidge Road
-South on Shortlidge Road to College Avenue West on College Avenue to Burrowes Road
-North on Burrowes Road

The parade will end north of Pollock Road.

The parade impacts College Avenue through downtown State College.

There will be no parking on College Avenue from Garner Street to Atherton Street starting at 4 p.m. Cars parked along the parade route will be ticketed and towed at the driver’s expense.

Driver’s should expect delays during the parade. Westbound traffic on East College Avenue will be detoured onto University Drive. Delays are also expected on University Drive, College Avenue, and Park Avenue.

If you work or commute during the time the parade is going on, you are encouraged to make alternate routes.

Drivers should avoid College Avenue during the parade times.
