Tyrone Borough will be getting some help from the state to improve it’s sidewalks and streetscapes.
The borough was awarded $750,000 to go towards the work on several streets, including Logan Ave., 11th St., 12th St., 13th St., and 15th St. These improvements are meant to fix current tripping hazards for pedestrians, and make the sidewalks more accessible for people who use wheelchairs.
The project includes pouring new concrete, clearing fences, stumps and bushes and also planting new streetscape trees.
