Two teams of area kids are heading to Pittsburgh for the State Odyssey of the Mind Competition this weekend!
Two teams from St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Newry Won their Regional Competition on February 25 with their mini-plays. The kids designed the sets, costumes, and wrote all of the dialogue without any help from parents or coaches.
“The life lessons they learn, working teamwork, working together, creative problem solving is really important, it helps them in all aspects,” Odyssey of the Mind coach Janie Wilson said.
The State Competition kicks off in Moon Township tomorrow with more than 100 teams from across the state with the winners heading to Worlds this May in Michigan.
