Two elk were unlawfully killed in Centre County and officials are searching for the individuals responsible.
In a Facebook post today, the Pennsylvania Game Commission said they believe the cow and her calf were most likely killed during the two week rifle deer season in November. The two elk were killed on the Sproul State Forest.
State Game Warden Mike Ondik has been investigating the case for the past few weeks and is asking for the public’s help to find the individuals responsible.
Anyone with information connected to this investigation is asked to contact the Game Commission’s Northcentral Region Office at 570-398-4744 or their Operation Game Thief Hotline at 1-888-PGC-8001.
