Train service has been restored in Hyndman, Bedford County, after several train cars derailed there on Friday.

According to our news partners at the Tribune Democrat, the damaged tracks were repaired, and the nine cars that left the tracks and caused that shut down were removed on Sunday night.

An investigation to determine what caused the derailment is now underway.

Fridays incident was the second train derailment in Hyndman in less than 5 months.
