Part of 6th Avenue at the intersection of Burgoon Road in Altoona remains closed Wednesday morning after a water main broke Tuesday evening.
The intersection is where the Knickerbocker Tavern and the Altoona Fire Station #4 are located.
Part of the road was damaged as water gushed out of the broken main, around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Crews are still working to repair the damage.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area until the break is fixed and crews can reopen the roadway.
