The Cambria County Veteran Services Office has scheduled seven town halls from January to March at various locations. These town halls are aimed to reach out to the veteran population and inform people about possible benefits that are available through the Veterans Administration.

“We just want to make every effort possible to inform our area veterans of what may be available to them,” said Chernisky. “These events are very informative and help our community better understand how the VA works.”

Commissioner B.J. Smith said, “The Veterans Administration has a lot of possibilities available and our Veteran Services Office really works hard to help people navigate the system.”

“If there’s something available to our veterans and their families, we want to make sure they are aware of it,” said Commissioner Mark Wissinger.
