Three women have been arrested for trying to use counterfeit money in the State College area.

Police say the women targeted at least 10 stores in the area including the Autozone on College Avenue and Ross Dress on Benner Pike.

According to the report, 28-year-old Samantha Kalson of Wilkes-Barre would give the counterfeit bills to 19-year-old Nancy Marshall, also from Wilkes-Barre and 25-year-old Markeesa Coleman from Irvington New Jersey, so they could make the purchases.

Kalson is charged with 10 felony counts of conspiracy to commit forgery.

Marshal and Coleman each face charges of conspiracy to commit forgery and conspiracy to commit theft by deception.
