Thousands of people packed into 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial on Friday for the annual Jehovah’s Witnesses convention in Johnstown.
The 2018 “Be Courageous”! Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses runs for three separate weekends in Johnstown. This weekend is the final in the series.
People travel from five different states to attend, including Ohio, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
“We look forward to this every year,” said Levi Evans, a Pennsylvania resident from Indiana attending the convention with his family. “To have it here in Johnstown where it’s local, be close to home, it’s so nice.”
Every year, the convention draws about 12,000 people to Johnstown.
