A tree down in the Johnstown area has thousands without power across Cambria County.
It happened just after 1:30 p.m. Monday, initially impacting 5,900 customers. As of 6 p.m., 2,800 customers had their power restored, according to a Penelec spokesperson.
Power is expected to be restored to the remaining customers by 8 p.m., but residents are asked to check the outage map for updates.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the tree to fall down and hit one of their lines.
