The Sylvan East and Stone Hedge area is normally pretty secluded, but recently it’s gotten some unwanted attention.

“This glass here was all shattered,” Maria Recchia said looking at her now fixed car window. “I mean I had a lot of things in my car and the only thing they took was my wallet. You rarely hear about anything like this going on here.”

Logan Township police are warning residents about a string of car break-ins. We’re told houses with cars parked outside are targeted in the middle of the night.

Officers said the suspects look for anything of value. Stephanie Castle lost diamond earrings, a camera, and 14-years worth of photos.

“They have no monetary value to anybody, but they’re priceless to me,” Castle said. “I don’t care who you are. I don’t care if you keep my other items. I just want my sd cards and external drive back.”

Investigators are now trying to track down the culprit. Meanwhile, the victims wait for answers and hope to get their valuables back.

“We’ll find them, for sure,” Recchia said. “I want to know who did it.”

Police are asking anyone who might have surveillance cameras to see if there’s any footage of the suspects. If you do have any leads, you’re asked to call Logan Township Police Department at 814-949-3364.
