CENTRE COUNTY (WTAJ) — A project in the works for more than two years will be helping to provide food and healthcare to children this summer.
The Moshannon Valley YMCA has transformed a bus into the mobile care unit.
The goal is to make sure all children in need are able to get the care even if they can’t make it to one of the YMCA’s summer feeding sites.
Thedirector of the Moshannon Valley YMCA tells us it will provide medical care, dental care, and even vision screenings.
The YMCA is working with eight local school districts to set up a bus schedule to give the kids by this summer.
They also have around twenty summer food sites available to the communities it serves.
