The Barn at Lemont is officially open for business, but its not just one business.

It is a marketplace filled with a variety of local products from many other local companies.

Jonas Stryker, Co-Owner of The Barn at Lemont, said “we tried to bring a little bit of everything for a person that wants to do total sustainability and homesteading in their homes.”

From gardening gear to how to bee-keeping kits, The Barn features groups and products that thrive on sustainability.

Stryker said the goal is to provide wholesome products and boost the local economy.

“Trying to let somebody be a seed to table just everything you need, one stop shop,” Stryker said.

Same goes for the hops–The State College Home Brew Club was invited to showcase home-made beers.

Dennis Snider, a member of the group, said he’s happy the owners appreciate creative groups.

“He just knows the importance of good community involvement and being able to share those things which are happy and healthy, and brewing beer is one of those things which you could do responsible and do well, and have a great time. And it’s a good community event,” Snider said.

Co-Owner Brian Kinney said the shop’s versatility will allows for plenty of partnerships, and he’s excited to bring more local products to his community.

“We can change with the seasons. We can do different things, it’s just really about building the community. And seeing what people want,” Kinney said.
