Texas Hot Dogs in downtown Altoona is getting ready to celebrate a big milestone. The local restaurant will be celebrating 100 years in business in January. 

Cindy Lamont, the restaurant’s co-owner, says plans are in the works to honor the event, but she isn’t revealing much at this time. The business has called Altoona home since 1918. 

The restaurant is know for it’s hot dogs, as the name would suggest. Lamont says the secret to making them “Texas” is in the sauce.
