State Police in Jefferson County are investigating after a 14 year old boy was allegedly accidentally shot in the head.

Police say the Amish teen was found inside a home on East Market Street in Timblin Borough, Jefferson County, with a gunshot wound to the head, around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8.

The victim had a gunshot wound in his left eye, from what police say, was an accidental discharge of a .22 caliber revolver, which was allegedly in the hands of the victim’s younger brother.

The victim was flown to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh UPMC and is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
