A New York teen that dreams of becoming a firefighter, is asking for fire department T-shirts to wear as he battles cancer.
The request was sent to the Niagara Falls firefighters from Timmy Richardson,16 years old, who is battling cancer at the Oishei Children’s Hospital. Timmy has grown up around firefighting and is also part of the Hy-View fire company’s explorer program.
While in the hospital,Timmy wants to be able to wear a different fire company’s T-shirt every day as he battles his illness.
The department is reaching out to any other department that would be willing to donate a T-shirt or patch. They also say if you’re not in a department, you can still make a donation. Any shirt related to the field would be appreciated.
