ROCKWOOD, SOMERSET COUNTY – Becky McKinley was the recipient of the Teacher of the Month Award  presented by Allied Milk Producers and WTAJ. Allied Milk Producers arrived to Rockwood Elementary School on Tuesday to present Mrs.McKinley with the award and to present her students with information on Dairy Farming. 

Mrs. McKinley is a reading, writing and language teacher at Rockwood Elementary School. She has been adding creativity and imagination into the classroom for nine years. She was nominated by one of her student’s parent who noticed her unique approach to teaching which helped her son learn. 

Mrs. McKinley likes to use dancing and moving to get her students focused and ready to read. She was honored to win Teacher of the Month and said all the teachers at Rockwood Elementary, and the community care about the students as a whole.
