In Centre County, a lawsuit that’s been making its way through the courts for nearly two years has come to an end.

According to the Centre Daily Times, last Wednesday, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied an appeal asking the court to stop the toll brothers proposed student housing development in Ferguson Township.

The residents involved in that case say they don’t want the development to be built there, because they worry it could damage their water supply.

The court chose not to hear the case because it didn’t think the case would have enough of an impact on the state as a whole.

Meanwhile, the paper reports that in spite of this setback, the Nittany Valley Water Coalition plans to continue fighting to save that piece of land.
