Kids got to express their inner superhero at the 6th annual superhero day at the Blair County Convention Center Sunday.

Children were encouraged to dress up and meet some of their favorite characters. It’s also a way for them to connect with real life heroes like first responders.

“We need to definitely have that sense of community and you need to start that at a young age,” Candance Holliday, Event Marketing Manager, said. “So it’s good having them here and finding out they are really approachable.”

Around 1,500 people came out to the event.
