Students from the New Day Charter School in Huntingdon County are spreading holiday cheer by giving back to families in need.
Tuesday, more than a dozen students helped The Salvation Army with their annual toy distribution.
They spent the morning loading up presents to take the distribution center where families then came by to pick the gifts up. Students say being able to help is very rewarding.
“A lot of people out there don’t get chances like this to help people out and I feel like for New Day to do this, it’s very very special,” 10th grade student Raylee Beatty said.
More than 200 families were helped this year.
