UPMC Altoona unveiled a new art display in its cafeteria Monday.
The three murals were created by students at the Altoona Area High School.
Students started working on the pieces last fall and were excited to unveil them for the more than 2,000 employees at the hospital.
“The people who work here and the patients that are going to be here every single day,” said Kathryn Close, an art teacher at AASD. “It’s just a little glimmer of hope or feeling of home throughout what could be really challenging.”
