Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Tyree C. Blocker released the following statement regarding the sentencing of convicted killer Eric Frein to death:

 “I thank the men and women of the jury for delivering justice in this case. I also extend the gratitude of the Pennsylvania State Police to Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin, whose hard work and diligence were instrumental in helping to bring closure to this dark chapter in our department’s 112-year history.  

“The memory of Corporal Bryon K. Dickson II remains in the hearts of all members of the Pennsylvania State Police, as does our respect and admiration for the heroism of Trooper Alex T. Douglass. We are eternally grateful for the continued support of the people of Pike County and all Pennsylvanians.”
