HARRISBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — State leaders are getting ready for next year’s census in Pennsylvania.
The Governor’s “Census 2020 Complete Count” Commission hosted a summit in Harrisburg today. They talked about strategies on how to improve outreach and are asking lawmakers to adequately fund the census.
In California, they have invested over $30 million in Census 2020. In Maryland, our neighboring state, they have invested over $5 million. So, I think that we should do the same right here in Pennsylvania.”

The census is held every 10 years to get a population count for each state.
