Thanks to a state grant, the first Pennsylvania craft brew festival will take place next year at an area ski resort.

According to our news partners at the Johnstown Tribune Democrat, the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce has been awarded $105,000 to launch the event.

The festival is expected to attract 5,000 to 7,500 people and have a $1 million impact in the Laurel Highlands. The event will include tastings and brewer education workshops.
