State College Police are looking for a man they say exposed himself to a woman and her two children at Spring Creek Park just after 3 p.m Tuesday.
Parents tell us they’re appalled that something like this could happen in our region, but police say things like this are very uncommon.
“It makes me sad that this has to be a reality in our world,” said Molly Sponsler, the mother. “It makes me feel like i have to keep my kids a little bit closer.”
“We rarely get incidents like this and when we do,” said Lt. Greg Brauser of the State College Police Department, “We’re always looking for help from the public to help solve the case and get an identity of the person so we can put a resolution to it.”
The suspect is a white male in his early to mid-40s, about 6 foot 1 and 300 pounds. At the time he was wearing a black shirt, shorts, and had a black backpack.
Police are asking anyone who sees someone matching this description to give them a call.
Police stress to not let your children wander too far out of sight, and if you see anything suspicious, don’t be afraid to give them a call.
