State College Police gave an update on Thursday night’s shooting during the 2:30 p.m. news conference.

HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW:  four dead, including shooter

There were four victims in the shooting:

• 21-year-old Nicole Abrino: She was shot in the chest, and transferred to a Pittsburgh Hospital
     -She was sitting at bar with Witmer

• 19-year-old Steven Beachy: Deceased

• 61-year-old Dean Beachy: Deceased
    -He was sitting across from bar of Witmer
    -He was in town for Penn’s Valley Live Stock Auction
    -From Ohio

• 83-year-old George McCormick of State College: Deceased
    -Lives in Tussey Lane home

Suspect:
21-year-old Jordan Witmer of Benner Township: self-inflicted injury, deceased
    -He went to Bellefonte High School
    -He was also an Army Veteran

The weapon that Witmer used was a small caliber semi-automatic gun.

Police have not determined what started the incident and whether or not drugs or alcohol were involved.

 Details:

At 10:14 p.m., Dean and Steven Beachy (father and son)  were sitting at the bar across from Nicole Abrino and Jordan Witmer. Witmer got up, walked to the other side of the bar and started shooting. The Beachy’s and Abrino were shot. Both Beachy’s were shot and killed, Abrino is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Witmer fled, crashed his car at the intersection of Waupelani Drive and Tussey Lane around 10:46 p.m.. Witmer shot at the glass door of 748 Tussey Lane, and kicked door in. Witmer shot George McCormick in the head. His wife, 80-year-old Joann McCormick, barricaded herself in the bedroom and called police. Police responded and found Witmer shot himself in the head. Joann told police there was no relationship between them and the shooter. Police believe the home was chosen at random.

Police still investigating more information. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
