A State College football champion is using his love for athletics to re-vamp a gym in Centre County.
Matt Mazzara and his wife, Jackie, opened up The Bar Fitness Club in Bellefonte last month.
Mazzara helped lead the State College Area High School to a football championship in 2009 and later played for Saint Francis University.
He and his wife say the gym targets any level of fitness and they’ve added their own personal touch to the design.
“Being able to actually take this unique opportunity and run with it has been a great experience,” Jackie said.
“And getting the cardio equipment moved over, getting the turf I played football on, getting that set up, I mean we even had our wedding picture taken on that turf as well,” Matt said.
The Bar Fitness Club is located off of Benner Pike in Bellefonte.
