A popular State College business is making a comeback, after it was forced to close down in January.

Sergio Can, owner of “Can’s Art” said his store in the Nittany Mall had to close because of the price of the lease.

He was able to reopen in the mall at the start of September and has had a lot of community support.

A customer who had been going to Can’s Art for years said he was excited when he heard his favorite art gallery store was coming back to the mall.

“There aren’t that many stores in State College believe it or not that cater to the Penn State customer the way that Sergio does here at Can’s Art studio,” customer Raymond Cook. “All the Pen State memorabilia that you can surround yourself with here you can find out maybe one or two other establishments in the State College area, but not the quality, not the quantity and certainly not at these prices.”

Can’s Art is open between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays.
