Snapchat rape case crosses state lines

The investigation of a man police said used Snapchat to contact and rape underage girls now stretches across state lines.

Police said victims from New York have come forward, accusing Jeffrey Guo of sexually assaulting them.

Charges, including rape, sexual assault, and prostitution, were refiled against him in Blair County on Saturday.

Officials said Guo was also the leader of a prostitution ring near the Penn State Altoona campus

Police believe there are more victims out there.

“The number of victims, I believe right now, is definitely going to increase, and this investigation could be going on for months, and, like I said, this investigation is now reaching outside of our state,” Sgt. Matthew Plummer of the Altoona Police Department said.

Police are asking any Penn State Altoona students who have been approached by Guo to call them.
