If you have questions about one of your smart devices, you aren’t alone.
The Hollidaysburg Area Public Library has smart phone help classes twice a month for folks having some technology issues.
The teacher of the class, Tyler Zorger, is a former Verizon employee. He said he wanted to find a way to get involved in his community somehow and push back on the stigma and generation gap of new technology.
“Now, everybody is starting to to conform because they’re noticing how much easier it is on people and just getting past that first step of ‘hey, I pushed this away for so long’ and a clear judgement. Of course, we don’t have it, but that’s what they’re afraid of, I think,” Zorger said.
The three most common questions asks, Zorger said, are about ads popping up, water damage, and sending photos.
