Signal upgrades to begin in Duncansville.
PennDOT announced that State College contractor HRI will begin signal upgrades November 14 on Route 22 and Route 1001 (Plank Road) as part of the Route 22 safety improvements project in Duncansville.
Work will begin at the signal at 3rd Avenue and Sunbrook Manor and then will move along the Plank Road corridor to complete signals at Plank Road and NAC Drive, Plank Road and Patchway Road, Plank Road and the Hollidaysburg Plaza, and Plank Road and North Juniata Street.
The signals at Plank Road and NAC Drive, Plank Road and Patchway Road and Plank Road and Hollidaysburg Plaza will all have “Flashing Yellow Arrow” signals to help improve left turn safety at intersections.
The signals will be set to flash, and traffic will be controlled by flaggers during work hours. Drivers should be aware of brief stoppages that are limited to 15 minutes or less.
