Sears at the Johnstown Galleria Mall is expected to shut its doors for good in August. Shoppers and mall employees say they’re disappointed that another department store at the mall is closing.

Sears, BonTon and Toys”R”Us at the shopping center in Richland Township are all closing.

One woman who works at a fast food chain at the mall, Linda Birch, said she’s not optimistic that another store will take it’s place.

“That’s a shame,” said Birch. “I think the mall’s getting towards the end where it’s eventually going to close up. There’s not enough business. I can see from working at Auntie Anne’s, there’s not enough traffic. There’s hardly anybody in the mall except young kids and they’re just there to hang out.”

A Sears employee said the store will close on August 5.
