Shaver’s Creek is holding a grand reopening celebration in Petersburg!
Community members are invited to attend the celebration on Saturday, Sept. 1. from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The celebration kicks off with an overview of the renovations and a grand tour at 4 p.m.
From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be local food truck options available, including Farmstand Catering, Doan’s Bones, Standing Stone Coffee, and kettle corn.
There will be an ice cream social from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., and people will have the opportunity to climb Shaver’s Creek climbing wall.
From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be live music from the front yard stage. Former volunteer-turned camp counselor-turned 7-year employee Paul “Palomino” Brigman will be performing at 7 p.m.
Juniata County native and former Discovery Block student Tessa “Luna” Gross” will be performing with fellow local performer Willie Markley at 8:45 p.m.
