A place ‘where a kid can be a kid’ is making sure all kids have a chance to play.
Chuck E. Cheese’s locations across the states are looking to make sure kids living with autism can join in the fun.
Officials with the Texas-based chain announced the move as a partnership with the Center for Autism and Related Disorders. The first Sunday of every month will be a part of Sensory Sensitive Sundays at 355 Chuck E. Cheese’s locations nationwide, including the one in Altoona.
Two hours before it opens to the general public, the sensory-sensitive program provides the opportunity for families to enjoy Chuck E. Cheese’s with smaller crowds, dimmed lighting, the show and music turned down or off and limited appearances of costumed characters.
