STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A project that aims to bring everyone, including the physically-handicapped and small children, closer to nature is being completed by the Wildlife For Everyone Foundation.

The project will have three main parts to it, including a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk-style trail, a fishing platform, and an education pavillion.

People involved with the project say that a $250,000 state grant was given to the Wildlife For Everyone Foundation through the help of Senator Jake Corman in order to get it started.

The Second Annual Wildlife Gala, held at the Nittany Lion Inn on Friday, April 5 from 5:30 to 9 p.m., is raising additional funds for the project which is expected to begin construction this spring.
